Children's Adventure Center Hosts Holiday Sing-Along
Parents and siblings were invited to a holiday sing-along event at Children’s Adventure Center on Monday, December 21.
As Linda Wren played festive songs on the piano, Children’s Adventure Center students began to find a place to sit on the floor, and parents looked on from the perimeter of the space.
Children wore decorated “hats” they had created at the center, under supervision of teachers. The paper hats were decorated with holiday images, like trees, stars, poinsettias, dreidels, gingerbread people, and candy canes.
Students opened up the late afternoon event with some songs before Ms Wren asked her students, “Do you think I can teach your parents to sing too?”
The preschoolers mostly nodded or smiled in response, before Ms Wren began playing, with parents adding their voices to songs like, “We Wish You A Merry Christmas,” “Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel,” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”
Santa also made an appearance later in the event, visiting with students and giving them presents.
