Spooky Seasonal Screenings At Edmond Town Hall
Edmond Town Hall has three weekends of special seasonal movie screenings planned this month. Tickets for all weekends are already on sale.
Corpse Bride, the 2005 stop-motion animated musical comedy rated PG and featuring the vocal talents of Helena Bonham Carter, Johnny Depp, et al, will be screened at 45 Main Street the weekend of October 12-15.
Screenings are planned on Thursday at 7:30 pm, and then Friday and Sunday at 1 and 7:30. A special event in the theater on October 14 means no screenings will be done on Saturday.
Tickets for all screenings are $3.50. They will be available at the box office prior to each show. They can also be purchased in advance at edmondtownhall.org.
Rocky Horror Picture Show will return to Newtown’s big screen October 20-22. Five screenings of the 1975 cult classic are planned: Friday at 7 and 9:30 pm, Saturday at 7 and 9 pm, and Sunday at 7.
Tickets for Friday and Sunday are $15 each, with optional prop bags available for $6 in advance or $8 at the door. Costumes and audience participation are strongly encouraged.
At both shows on Saturday, 7 and 9 pm, a shadow cast will join the event.
Tickets for those shows are $25 each (prop bags are the same price).
Then for the weekend ahead of Halloween, Ingersoll Auto of Danbury is covering the cost of tickets for all six scheduled screenings of Coraline.
The 2009 stop motion animated dark fantasy horror film, rated PG and featuring the vocal talents of Dakota Fanning, Jennifer Saunders, among others, will be shown at 1 and 7:30 pm Friday through Sunday, October 27-29.

‘Oppenheimer’ Opening Tonight
Ahead of the special screenings this month, Edmond Town Hall will offer six screenings of the summer blockbuster Oppenheimer.
The drama starring Cillian Murphy as the American scientist and his role in the development of the atomic bomb is scheduled for Friday through Sunday, October 6-8, at 1 and 7:30 pm each day.
Tickets are $3.50 for all shows, and available through Edmond Town Hall’s website.
