Sharon Roegge

Sharon K. Roegge, 74, of White Haven, died June 12, surrounded by her family. She was born in Davenport, Iowa, daughter of the late Harold and Donna (Rose) Feers.

Her husband Don Roegge, whom she married May 4, 1968; her three children and their spouses, Christine and George Conklin of Sandy Hook, Catherine and Joseph Wolkowicz of Whately, Mass., and David Roegge and Andrea Rivera of Melville, N.Y.; grandchildren, Tyler, Logan, Hayden, Kolby, and Hunter; two sisters, Georgia Dettmann of Canon City, Colo., and Yvonne Campbell of Moline, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews survive her.

Mrs Roegge was a member of St John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hazleton, Penn. She was deeply involved in Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) and the women's auxiliary of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, serving in various offices at the zone level in both the New England and SELC Districts. She also served as a member of both the Gospel Outreach and Mission, Grants, and Advisory Committees at the national level, and she was chairman of the Mission and Grants Committee. Most recently, she was serving as district president of the LWML SELC District.

She has served in many offices of various parent teacher organizations of her children's schools, often filling in an administrative capacity in the school's office at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. She also worked as a bank teller for 20 years.

Friends and relatives may call on Saturday, June 30, from 10 to 10:45 am, at St John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hazleton, Penn., with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 11 am.
