Anne B. Carlson, 85, of Torrington and previously of Newtown, died April 26. She was the wife of the late Dwight W. Carlson. She was born on July 14, 1931, in Danbury, the daughter of the late Florence (Caddick) and George Bazarian and lived most of her life in Newtown.

Two sons, Dwight W. Carlson II, and his wife Lorie, of Torrington and Lance Carlson of Florida; a sister, Arlene Bazarian of California; grandchildren Thomas, Alyssa, Steven and his wife Meagan, Danielle, and  Austin; and a great-grandson survive him.

Mrs Carlson was passionate about music. She was an accomplished voice coach and teacher and was very proud of her many talented students. She was involved in many local theater productions and loved performing and directing.

She lived the last two years at Brookdale Litchfield Hills. Her family wishes to acknowledge and thank the wonderful staff for their patience and care.

Friends and family may call on Wednesday, May 3, from 4 to 6 pm, at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
