2,050 Lobsters, 750 Pounds Of Steak Equals Success
To the Editor:
On behalf of this year's LobsterFest Committee - myself; Ryan Clark; Matt Dobson; George Lockwood, Jr; Karl Sieling, Jr; and Jeff Thomas - and the officers and members of Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Co, we would like to thank our family, friends, fellow firefighters, residents of Newtown, and out-of-town guests for helping to make our 31st annual LobsterFest on Friday and Saturday, June 8 and 9, a success. We served over 2,050 lobsters and 750 pounds of steak last weekend.
We would like to thank some of our neighbors for the use of part of their property for parking, and all of our neighbors for putting up with the noise.
We need to thank our fellow volunteer firefighters from surrounding fire departments: Botsford, Hawleyville, Dodgingtown, Newtown Hook & Ladder, Southbury, Easton, Monroe, Stepney, and Stevenson, and anyone else who offered their support this year.
In addition, we would like to thank Associated Refuse, JP Maguire, LRM, and Newtown Color Center for their donations.
We have so many people to thank, and we are sorry if we missed anyone.
Thank you for the continued support of Sandy Hook Fire & Rescue. Mark your calendars for the 32nd annual event on June 7 and 8, 2019.
Sincerely,
Anthony Capozziello
