2017 Season Begins For Winter Percussion

The Newtown High School Winter Percussion began is 2017 season on Saturday, February 25, in Dartmouth, Mass., at the New England Scholastic Band Association Competition.info@nhsbandguard.com

This year's show, "Slow Me Down," was composed by professional percussion designers Ian Grom and John Mapes.

The group placed second out of ten bands in the Percussion Scholastic Marching AA class, scoring 80.0 in overall performance and first place for the group's visual general effects.

Both the Winter Percussion and Winter Guard are gearing up to host the annual "Home Show" at Newtown High School on Saturday, March 25, from 1 to 8 pm. More than 40 performing percussion and guard groups are expected to attend.
