    Ceramic pieces of various designs were created by Tucson, Ariz. residents in one of two Ben’s Bells studios there, in quantities enough to make more than 1,000 Ben’s Bells for Newtown. The pieces and small copper bells were brought to Connecticut by the kindness project’s founder, Jeannette Maté, and several volunteers, at the invitation of local parents.
