Edward S. Rowland, 80, died April 12, at St Joseph’s Manor in Trumbull. He was born September 8, 1927, in Weston, son of William E. and Ruth A. Rowland.

He leaves his children, Barbara Highton, Edward Rowland, and Glen Rowland, all of Newtown; one granddaughter, Jennifer Murphy of Bethel; and three great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Evelyn, and Lily.

Mr Rowland retired from H.I. Stone Trucking in Southbury, where he had worked for many years.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 19, at 11 am, in Pine Hill Cemetery, Southbury.

Arrangements are by the Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury.
