The match has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 10, with a new start time of 6 pm. The domino effect results in Newtown High's boys' basketball game against New Fairfield being moved from Wednesday to Thursday, February 11, beginning at 5 pm. The contest is being bumped for the second time; it was originally slated for Friday, February 5, but got postponed initially because of snow.

Newtown's boys' cagers will not have to wait that long to tip off. The Nighthawks are scheduled to visit Masuk of Monroe on Tuesday, February 9. The girls' basketball team will be home to Masuk the same night. Both games begin at 7 pm. Also on Tuesday, the boys' swimming and diving team hosts Brookfield at 7 pm.
