Dolores Ann (D’Amico) Stafko, 73, of Sandy Hook, beloved wife of Philip D. Stafko, died at Danbury Hospital, December 22, surrounded by her loving family and friends, after a brave battle with cancer. She was born December 31, 1939, in Bridgeport, and was the daughter of the late Michael and Bessie (Ginolfi) D’Amico.
Peter Aliapoulios, 61, of Redding, died Christmas morning, December 25, with his family by his side, after a long battle with congestive heart failure. He was born in Manchester, N.H., July 14, 1952, to Alexander and Constance Aliapoulios.
Frederick A. Crouch, 67, died peacefully December 23, following a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Mary Dougherty Crouch. Born in Rosenheim, Germany, September 20, 1946, he was the son of Anna Crouch and the late Dave Crouch.Mr Crouch was raised in the Sandy Hook section of Newtown.

Stafko of Sandy Hook, died on December 22 at Danbury Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends, after a brave battle with cancer. She was born on December 31, 1939, in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Bessie (Ginolfi) and Michael D’Amico. In addition to her husband of 53 years, she is survived by her two cherished children, Sharon (Stafko) Carter, and her husband Jeff, of Hopkinton, Mass., and Daniel Stafko, and his wife Karen, of Southington. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, siblings Mary (D’Amico) Piccuillo of Trumbull and Peter D’Amico of Shelton, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road in Newtown, on Tuesday, December 31, at 10 am.
Patricia A. Benkovich, 67, of Sandy Hook, died December 22, at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of Andrew Benkovich. She was born in Manchester, Conn., May 24, 1946, a daughter of Carl and Esther (Pitkin) Schwarz.
Fritzi Walkey Klopfenstein, 98, died December 16, at Churchman Village retirement home in Newark, Del. The daughter of Dr Fred L. Walkey and Mable Kintzley Walkey, she was born on Groundhog Day, February 2, 1915, in West Lafayette, Ind.
