Steven M. Reilly, 68, of Derby died April 24 in his home. He was born in Derby on October 2, 1947, and was a beloved son of Dorothy Bulmer Reilly of Ansonia and the late Raymond Reilly.

In addition to his mother, a brother, James Reilly, and wife Suzanne, of Sandy Hook; a sister, Janice Dorosh, and husband Joseph Dorosh, Sr, of Ansonia; sons Sean Reilly of Florida and Brett Reilly of Derby; nieces, nephews, and a great-nephew survive Mr Reilly.

He grew up in Shelton and was a graduate of Shelton High School, Class of 1965. After high school, he enlisted in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Udorn, Thailand.

He was employed as a computer technician at Ansonia Copper & Brass until his retirement.

Mr Reilly was active in many veterans organizations. Several times during the year, he would purchase flags and replace the ones that had become broken and worn on the graves of veterans in the local cemeteries.

Visitation will take place Friday, April 29, from 9 to 11 am, in the chapel of the Spinelli-Ricciuti/Bednar-Osiecki Funeral Home, 62 Beaver Street, Ansonia. At 11 am, a funeral service in celebration of Mr Reilly's life will take place, with Deacon Richard Renker officiating. Inurnment with US Air Force honors will immediately follow at Riverside Cemetery in Shelton.
