The Resiliency Center of Newtown (RCN) will be open during the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, December 13 and 14, with programs to help residents navigate through the second anniversary of 12/14.
The center, at 153 South Main Street (lower level), will be open from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday. Walk-in visitors are welcome. Therapists will be available throughout the weekend, as well as Zoe the therapy dog on Sunday. There will be light refreshments both days.

The Newtown-Sandy Hook Community Foundation (NSHCF) and The Tapping Solution Foundation (TTSF) have partnered to provide educational programs for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder with EFT/Tapping.
Complex PTSD symptoms for many Newtown residents, including students, may be overlooked, misdiagnosed and/or undertreated. Somatic release methods like EFT/Tapping address the neurological impact of trauma and assist the brain and body in returning to their natural resourceful and resilient state.

EFT/Tapping is stress and trauma relief technique that is an easy to learn, child-friendly tool that provides healing, comfort and resiliency through stressful events of life. Parenting is filled with emotionally intense moments, and EFT can help adults approach these moments with balance and confidence.

There was such a tremendous response to her last visit, Suzanne Rossini is returning to The Resiliency Center (RCN) this week.
Ms Rossini will offer a workshop on Friday, May 9, at 4:15 pm.
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique but is commonly referred to as Tapping.
Tapping is a self-soothing tool for children to help gain control over their thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
