Throughout the day on Wednesday, May 13, Hawley Elementary School students were visited by therapy dogs, handlers, and representatives of Charlotte’s Litter.
Charlotte’s Litter is a Newtown Kindness program that was founded by her parents to honor Charlotte Helen Bacon, who loved dogs and lost her life on 12/14, and the support that her family and friends received from local comfort and therapy dogs.

WEST HAVEN — The second annual Charlotte’s Litter Therapy/Comfort Dog Walk-A-Thon had more than 200 registered walkers and about 40 therapy dogs with handlers participate on Saturday, October 18, at Sea Bluff Beach.

I have been worrying my whiskers off over the news coming out of Liberia. I hope you join me in sending silent purrs and good thoughts toward our friends outside of Monrovia. The building project for the New Life Christian Academy, funded by Reed Intermediate School Pushcart Warriors and an anonymous West Coast couple, is still suspended, and all schools are closed for the time being due to the Ebola outbreak.

WEST HAVEN — Newtown Kindness will host its second annual Therapy/Comfort Dog Walk-a-thon, Saturday, October 18, from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm, at Sea Bluff Beach in West Haven. It will take place near the Where Angels Play playground that was built to honor Charlotte, near the intersection of Captain Thomas Boulevard and Ocean Avenue.
The event will celebrate the first year program results of the multi-faceted Charlotte’s Litter Program in recognition of the benefits of therapy and comfort dogs.

Newtown Kindness hosted its first Therapy/Comfort Dog Walk-A-Thon on Saturday, November 2, to launch and raise money for its “Charlotte’s Litter” Program to recognize the benefits of therapy and comfort dogs.
Newtown Kindness is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded after the tragedy at Sandy Hook School in an effort to encourage, facilitate, and recognize the value of kindness, according to the organization.

Newtown Kindness will be hosting a Therapy/Comfort Dog Walk-A-Thon this Saturday, November 2. The organization received so much support that registration hass been closed to any further people who wish to participate.
The walk will take place on from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm at the Fairfield Hills campus.
