DAYTON, OHIO — Brian DeLuca, director of ArtStreet at the University of Dayton, has notified The Newtown Bee that on Tuesday, September 24, the first of the three-part “BULLET: Who Pulled the Trigger” exhibit opened with a Sandy Hook/Newtown perspective. Well-known gardener and author Sydney Eddison got a mention in the Thursday, September 12, Home section of The New York Times for a 1989 plant trade with home and interior designer Peter Wooster. Mr Wooster’s Roxbury gardens were the focus of the article, and in one of his gardens, apparently, are lilies from Ms Eddison’s garden. Her gardens received cuttings of Mr Wooster’s brugmansia in that long-ago exchange.

Meditation On Mourning
in mourning sound moves without the body
it is continuous and repetitive
it follows what is lost and maintains what cannot be found
its calling is of retrieval
its silence; a surrender to the beloved lost.
there is a spinning a gravity a veil
