  • Newtown Hears A Who, ‘Seussical’ Successfully Staged

    The 12.14 Foundation’s production of Seussical: The Musical had audiences singing along with the cast of Newtown’s children during their four productions in the Newtown High School auditorium that ran over the course of August 9, 10, and 11.

    The 12.14 Foundation, founded by Michael Baroody, a Newtown resident, was created after the tragic events of 12/14. The objective of the foundation is “to build a landmark Performing Arts Centre in Newtown, Connecticut, in memory of those lost on December 14, 2012.”

  • ‘Seussical’ Being Staged This Weekend

    Seussical: The Musical is set to take the stage at Newtown High School this weekend, with performances on Friday and Saturday, August 9 and 10, at 7 pm, and Saturday and Sunday, August 10 and 11, at 2 pm.

  • ‘Seussical: The Musical’ Nearing Performance Time

    Like the students who quickly went from sight reading the song “Green Eggs and Ham” to singing it within a matter of minutes on Tuesday, July 30, Seussical: The Musical is coming together for its set performance dates of Friday and Saturday, August 9 and 10, at 7 pm, and Saturday and Sunday, August 10 and 11, at 2 pm.

  • 1214 Foundation Announces Formation, Charter, Leadership

    The 1214 Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization based in Newtown has announced its official formation, charter and leadership. The foundation aims to build and operate a performing arts center in Newtown in remembrance of those lost in the tragic events at the Sandy Hook Elementary School with a focus “on improving the lives of our children and future generations,” according to information the group released June 25.
