  • Sandy Hook Cub Scout Ventures To DC To Report To The Nation

    Edwin Tout, a fourth grade student at Sandy Hook Elementary School and a Pack 170 Webelos Den 5 member, was one of nine scouts chosen from across the country that represented the Boy Scouts of America in Washington, DC, February 22 to 27, to present the Boy Scouts of America’s annual Report to the Nation to top US officials.

    The report is designated in the Boy Scouts of America’s congressional charter and highlighted the organization’s achievements in 2013, according to the Boy Scouts of America.

  • Cub Scout Pack 170 Slates Ice Cream Social

    Cub Scout Pack 170 invites all boys entering first through fourth grade, and siblings, to an ice cream social slated for Thursday, September 12, in the pavilion at Treadwell Park, 39 Philo Curtis Road, from 6 to 7:30 pm.

    The event is an opportunity for parents and kids to enjoy some treats and learn more about the opportunities being a Cub Scout provides.

    In addition to registering new scouts, Cub Scout Pack 170 will also be reregistering current scouts for the 2013-14 scout year.

  • Scouts Clean Trails At Audubon Center

    On Saturday, May 4, scouts from Sandy Hook’s Pack 170 and Southbury’s Pack 61 joined forces to perform trail cleanup at the Audubon Center, Bent of the River, in Southbury.
