  • Lions To Host Blood Drive

    The Newtown Lions Club will sponsor the May 11 American Red Cross Blood Drive taking place at Newtown Congregational Church, 14 West Street.

    The local Lions Club sponsors two blood drives a year under the guidance of the Lions’ Health Committee. The January Drive resulted in almost 100 pints donated.

    The Lions have been supported at each blood drive by Dunkin Donuts, Newtown Woman’s Club, Women Involved in Newtown and the Congregational Church.

  • Masonicare At Newtown Hosting Blood Drive

    The American Red Cross will hold a Blood Drive on Thursday, September 4, from 1 to 6 pm, at Masonicare at Newtown, 139 Toddy Hill Road. A bloodmobile from the American Red Cross will be located in the parking lot.

    The event is open to the public and community members are encouraged to consider donating. Donors must be at least 17 years old and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds. All blood types are needed.

  • Blood Drive Planned At NCC

    The American Red Cross will host a blood drive at Newtown Congregational Church, 14 West Street, on Monday, September 16.

    The event will run from 8:30 am until 6:15 pm. Walk-ins will be welcomed, and appointments are available by calling 800-RED-CROSS (800-733-2767) or online at RedCrossBlood.org.

  • Lions Club Planning Spring Blood Drive
