Police report they responded to a call about 4:30 pm on November 11 informing them that that there was an erratic driver traveling in the area near the intersection of Wasserman Way and Trades Lane at Fairfield Hills.
Police said they located the vehicle in question at the town’s Park & Bark dog park at 21 Old Farm Road, after which they investigated. Police said they charged motorist Robert Mosessian, 60, of 7 Round Hill Road with driving under the influence.

Horse Guard Swords Stolen
Sometime between October 30 and November 7, someone entered a storage building at the grounds for the Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard at 4 Wildlife Drive, Fairfield Hills, and stole two decorative sabers, police said.
The blade of each saber has an engraving stating “Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard.”

Big Truck Vs Flagpole
Police report an accident involving a tractor-trailer truck and the Main Street flagpole.
Police said that trucker John Henry, 47, of Rolling Meadows, Del., was driving a tractor-trailer truck westward on Church Hill Road at about 11:54 am on October 13 and then attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Main Street, but in doing so the truck’s trailer struck the flagpole.

Sugar Street DUI
On September 17 at about 11:09 pm, local officers report they stopped a vehicle being operated on Sugar Street for speeding.
Upon further investigation, police arrested Ryan Kelleher, 31, of Oakridge Road in Bethel, on the speeding charge, as well as for driving under the influence.
Kelleher was processed and subsequently released on a $100 bond pending an October 1 court appearance.

Police report a September 8 incident involving an Emergency 911 telephone call, which later proved to be a hoax.
Police said they responded to Hilario’s Service Center at 131 Mt Pleasant Road (Route 6) in Hawleyville about 5:45 pm, after receiving a report via a 911 call that a burglary had occurred.
Police said their investigation found that the 911 call, which was allegedly made by Alexa Larsen, 47, of 123 Lakeview Terrace, was a hoax.

Police said that on the afternoon of Saturday, September 5, they received a report that forced entries had been made into five locked motor vehicles that were parked at Dickinson Park at 50 Elm Drive.
The drivers of those five vehicles were involved in activities at the park at the time of the incident.

While traveling east on Interstate 84 at about 6:35 pm on August 27, motorist Roger Mavrides, 59, of Canton, Mass., who was driving a 2010 BMW, struck the rear end of a 2005 Mercedes-Benz driven by Lauren Henson, 27, of Southbury, state police said. There were no injuries. Mavrides received an infraction for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart, state police said.

Police report a two-vehicle accident in which the driver who caused the crash on Botsford Hill Road fled the scene at about 3:42 pm on August 12.

Police report that they received numerous complaints regarding a motorist driving erratically on Interstate 84, who later got off I-84 at Exit 11 and was then seen driving erratically on local roads at about 10 pm on August 8.
Police said they found the motorist in question and stopped him on Mile Hill Road to investigate.
