    SHELTON — Newtown resident Brett Boles will appear as Mitch Albom in Tuesdays with Morrie at Center Stage Theatre in Shelton, which opens this weekend.

    Mr Boles has participated in many Center Stage productions, appearing most recently as E.K. Hornbeck in Inherit the Wind. He is also an award-winning musical theatre composer, lyricist, and book writer.

  • Newtown Residents Featured In Local Production Of Wilde Classic; "Earnest" Opens This Weekend

    SHELTON — The Importance of Being Earnest will open at Center Stage Theatre in Shelton on October 4. Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm through October 19, with 2 pm matinees on Sundays, October 6, 13 and 20. There will also be a 7 pm performance on Thursday, October 17.

    *TOWER OF POWER will be at The Palace Theater in Waterbury on Saturday, April 27, at 8 pm.

  • "Random Acts Of Music" At Edmond Town Hall, April 12; Benefit Event For HealingNewtown

    Newtown Cultural Arts Commission and HealingNewtown Arts Space has announced “Random Acts of Music,” a benefit concert to support The HealingNewtown Project.

    The concert will be Friday, April 12, beginning at 7 pm. It will be performed in Edmond Town Hall Theatre, 45 Main Street in Newtown.

    Featured performers will include Boplicity, Brett Boles, Mary Beth Sippin & The Goldrush Band, Smokebomb Mondays, The Newtown High School Jazz Ensemble and The Newtown High School Singers.
