  • Interfaith Clergy Association Announces Special Gathering, Other Offerings For Second Anniversary Of 12/14

    Newtown’s Interfaith Clergy Association has announced plans for an Interfaith Gathering for Prayer and Comfort to take place on Sunday, December 14, the second anniversary of 12/14.

    “As faith leaders, we come from a variety of religious communities that are diverse in faith and practice. However, we want you to know that we are united in our commitment to offer care and compassion to all of Newtown,” members of the association said via e-mail December 8.

  • Monthly Interfaith Gathering: Prayers For Back To School, Sunday Afternoon

    Newtown Interfaith Clergy Association will present the next interfaith gathering for prayer on Sunday, September 1, beginning at 4 pm.

    An ongoing monthly series launched in the weeks following 12/14, this month’s gathering will follow the theme “Prayers for Back to School.” Gatherings are on the first Sunday of each month and rotate between various locations.

  • Praying For Newtown, An Interfaith Gathering

    Newtown Interfaith Clergy Association will present the next interfaith gathering for prayer on Sunday, August 4, beginning at 4 pm.

    An ongoing monthly series launched in the weeks following 12/14, this month’s gathering will follow the theme “Prayers for Rest and Renewal.” Gatherings are on the first Sunday of each month and rotate between various locations.

  • Two Interfaith Gatherings In June

    The Newtown Interfaith Clergy Association is planning two gatherings in June.

    The first will be on Sunday, June 2, beginning at 4 pm. This will be the next in the monthly interfaith services that have been held on the first Sunday of each month at various locations since April.

    This month’s gathering will be hosted by Newtown United Methodist Church, 92 Church Hill Road. The theme will be “Finding Our Way in Times of Transition.”

  • Praying For Newtown, An Interfaith Gathering

    An interfaith gathering for prayer will be offered Sunday, April 7, at 4 pm.

    Sponsored by the Newtown Interfaith Clergy Association to support the healing of the entire town community, a new series of gatherings will take place on the first Sunday of every month and will rotate between various locations. This month the service will be at Trinity Episcopal Church, 36 Main Street.
