Police report that at about 9 pm on April 29, they were using a computerized “license plate reader” device on the Exit 11 off-ramp of Interstate 84 to check passing vehicles for any pending vehicular violations which are keyed to their license plate numbers.
Among the vehicles that passed the device were a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu sedan whose license plate number indicated that there was pending violation, police said.

Police report a road rage incident involving two male drivers which concluded early on the morning of April 12 on Great Quarter Road, near the Monroe town line.
Police said the incident involved Richard Desrochers, Jr, 50, of 50 Great Quarter Road, and motorist Matthew Shannon, 19, of 10 Woodbine Lane. The men were strangers to one another, police said.

After learning that police held three warrants for his arrest, John Dosky, 22, of 15 Jeremiah Road went to the police station on the morning of March 19 to surrender, police said.
Police arrested Dosky on three separate counts of second-degree failure to appear in court in connection with six past motor vehicle charges that stem from three separate incidents in 2014 in Newtown and Danbury.

Police report that after learning that they held a warrant for his arrest, Patrick Capozziello, 20, of 42 Cedar Hill Road went to the police station on the afternoon of December 23 and was charged with driving under the influence and with failure to obey a stop sign in connection with an accident that had occurred almost one year earlier in Hawleyville on December 27, 2013.

After learning that police held two warrants for his arrest, Robert Abram, 77, of 19 Castle Meadow Road went to the police station on the morning of December 19 and was charged, police said.
Police said they charged Abram with second-degree failure to appear in court and with failure to respond to an infraction in connection with past incidents.
Abram was released on $603 bail for a January 6 appearance in Danbury Superior Court, police said.

Honda vs Toyota
At about 2:48 pm on February 16, motorist Rachel Bolinsky, 23, of 3 Wiley Lane, who was driving a 2004 Toyota Prius northward on Boggs Hill Road, stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Boggs Hill Road and Sugar Street, police said.
Northbound motorist Victor Vasquez, 17, of 3 Todds Road, who was driving a 2007 Honda Accord, then struck the rear end of the Toyota, police said.

At about 1:16 am on February 10, motorist Karen Vanderlyn, 45, of Watertown was driving a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan minivan eastward on Interstate 84, about one-half mile west of Exit 9, when the vehicle slid on the highway, which was slippery due to a previous snowstorm, state police said.
Vanderlyn lost control of the vehicle, which went into a spin and then struck some guardrailing along the right road shoulder, state police said. There were no injuries.

Toyota vs Chevy
Police report a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Queen Street and Church Hill Road about 9:15 am on December 16.
The accident involved motorist Michael Stoltz, 42, of 23 Charter Ridge Drive, who was driving a 2012 Toyota Sienna minivan, and motorist Nemecio Guerrero, Jr, 34, of Bethel, who was driving a 2002 Chevrolet G-3500 van, according to police.
