  • Agility Course Goes In At Dog Park

    At the base of a gentle slope a crew from Pat Corsetti Inc. contractors Wednesday, November 6, prepped the ground for an agility course for dogs.

  • Dog Park Closer To Completion

    Grass seed flew as Nelson Lopes pushed a spreader across sloping ground at the Park and Bark dog park site Wednesday, October 30. He worked with other Parks and Recreation Department crew members this week including Jim Tani, John Moore, Tom Pendergast, and John Benvenuti.

    Across what will be a lawn area next spring, town crews were at work along the tree line clearing dead brush and trimming evergreens.

  • Nearly 200 Dogs Turn Out For Annual ‘Mutt Strutt’

    All things canine were on display and celebrated Saturday, May 18, at Fairfield Hills as the town staged the 4th Annual Strutt Your Mutt event at the sprawling campus, providing dog owners with recreational activities keyed to their pets.

    The centerpiece of the family-oriented event was a dog walk during which dog owners marched across the lush campus with their leashed pets, following a course marked by giant white paw prints that had been painted on the ground. About 190 dogs participated in the walk.

    Grab a leash and join the 4th Annual Strutt Your Mutt dog walk and festival on May 18 from 11 am to 3 pm at Fairfield Hills. Enjoy entertainment, demonstrations in agility and obedience, and a vendors fair.
