    Fitness enthusiasts of a varying ages and abilities made their way through a variety of challenging obstacles — arriving at the finish line muddy, soaked, worn out, and with reason to be proud — at the fourth annual Mad Dash Adventure Race, at Fairfield Hills, on June 13.

    Newtown Parks & Recreation, which is co-presenting the 2015 Mad Dash Adventure with NYA Sports & Fitness, announced on June 11 the open registration times and start times for those participating in this year’s event.

    Newtown Parks and Recreation Department and NYA Sports & Fitness Center announce the Mad Dash Adventure Race will be held on Saturday, June 13, with the first flight commencing at 8:30 am. All courses will begin and end within Fairfield Hills.

    The fourth annual Mad Dash offers the ultimate in fitness adventure in which participants run, jump, crawl, carry, and climb their way through the scenic Fairfield Hills Campus, utilizing both its natural topography as well as manmade structures. This fun but challenging course includes physical challenges, running, and skilled events.

  • Mad Dash Adventure Race June 8

    The second annual Mad Dash adventure race will be held on Saturday, June 8 at Fairfield Hills. Hosted by the Newtown Youth Academy and Newtown Parks & Recreation, and sponsored by Danbury Orthopedics, the Mad Dash offers participants the ultimate in fitness adventure.

    Participants will run, jump, crawl, carry, and climb their way through scenic Fairfield Hills campus, utilizing both its natural topography as well as man-made structures. This fun but challenging course includes physical challenges, running, and skilled events.
