Sixth grade students in Michelle Holda-Vaccaro's language arts class at Reed Intermediate School enjoyed a Writing Celebration on October 21.

Family and friends were invited to join the festivities and listen to the student's read aloud their narrative memoirs in small groups.

Ms Holda-Vaccaro explained, "They worked very, very hard" achieving their first piece of published work. She encouraged everyone to write positive comments on sticky notes and submit them to the writer after the student read his/her work out loud.

Once everyone in their group had read, they were welcomed to feast on an abundance of tasty treats.
