Patricia Ann (Dillon) Ward, 78, of Trumbull, beloved wife of Michael C. Ward, died on September 23 in Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center. Born in New York City on October 8, 1937, and raised in Waterbury, she was the daughter of the late Marie and Thomas Dillon.

In addition to her husband Michael of 55 years, her three sons and their wives, Michael T. and Laurie Ward of Newtown, Peter J. and Linda Ward of Cheshire, and Jeffrey and Amy Ward of Indiana; a brother, Jack Dillon and his wife, Johanne, of Florida; sister-in-law Lola Dillon of South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Jessica Kelly and her husband, Joseph, Thomas Ward and his wife, Lynn, Matthew, Daniel, Andy, Ben, and Abby Ward; as well as three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews survive her. Her brother Thomas "T.J." Dillon predeceased her.

Mrs Ward received her bachelor's degree in education from the Teachers College of Connecticut and began her career in teaching in the Waterbury and Bristol School Systems. She later worked in the office at the International Institute of Connecticut in Bridgeport, a nonprofit organization.

She was a devoted parishioner at Christ the King Church in Trumbull and had been a religious education teacher.

Funeral services took place on Monday morning, September 26, in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, in Trumbull, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Christ the King Church, Trumbull, celebrated by her nephew, Reverend Terrence Walsh. Internment was at in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull.
