Saturday Night Open Mic returns Saturday, January 30, from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, in the Great Room at Newtown Congregational Church, 14 West Street.

The recurring event is designed for high school and middle school youth, although performers in grades 5 and 6 are also welcome.

Microphones, keyboard, guitar amp and more will be available.

A welcoming atmosphere and an enthusiastic all-ages audience makes this a great night every time. Suggested donation is $1.

Adults are asked to bring a simple drink or snack to share, such as baked goods, chips, pretzels, etc. Coffee and tea will be available.

Sign up starts at 7:15 pm. Doors will be open by 7 pm for those who wish to arrive early and wait to sign up. Sign-up is first come, first serve.

There is time for about twenty performers so the limit per spot is about five minutes.

Youth under grade six must have a parent or guardian present.
