    Newtown native, Lillian Canfield McCarthy Ermisch, 94, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs George Glover Canfield, died June 27, at her son’s home in Inverness, Fla. She was born in Danbury Hospital, January 9, 1919, and was the twelfth generation of Newtown-founding Glovers.

    Lucy Marie Bonacci, 90, died peacefully August 17, at the Bethel Health Care facility, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 22, 1922, she was the daughter of John and Catherine Donatico of South Norwalk.

    Gregory Richard Layda, 45, husband of Mary Dawn Layda, died Thursday morning, August 15, at Danbury Hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident. Greg was born August 5, 1968 in Danbury, to Richard and Patricia Layda.
