NSB Establishes New Haven Regional Lending Center

HAMDEN - John F. Trentacosta, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Newtown Savings Bank has announced the establishment of a New Haven Regional Lending Center located at 2321 Whitney Avenue. The new center will be managed by a team of local commercial lenders who have recently joined the Bank.NSBonline.com or call 800-461-0672.

The center's leadership team includes:

Regional Director, Commercial Lending Mark A. Candido will lead the experienced team of lenders to develop new business throughout the greater New Haven region. A New Haven native, and a graduate of University of Chicago School of Banking, Mr Candido is a seasoned community banking leader with a diverse lending background and more than 45 years experience.

In 2006, he co-founded the former Quinnipiac Bank and Trust Company where he served as president and CEO, and currently serves as president and chairman of the Community Investment Corporation, chairman of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Council, and as a director of the Hamden/New Haven YMCA and the Hamden Education Foundation.

Mr Candido, a resident of Hamden, is a past recipient of the Good Scout award (2013) and Small Businessperson of the Year award (2011).

Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer Richard R. Barredo brings experience from a long and distinguished banking career in lending and corporate administration.

In 2006, Mr Barredo was a co-founder of Quinnipiac Bank and Trust Company where he was a member of the executive team serving as CEO and Chief Lending Officer. A graduate of Quinnipiac University and the National Commercial Lending School, Mr Barredo lives in Ivoryton, is active in the community, and serves as director and treasurer of the Science Park Development Corp of New Haven.

Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer Anthony S. Rossley will also be an integral member of the New Haven regional lending team, bringing more than 25 years of commercial lending and business development experience.

Mr Rossley, a North Haven resident, has a diverse background with focus on commercial lending, small business and SBA lending, and relationship management. He has been recognized in the community for his involvement in many community initiatives and volunteer activities, and currently serves as a board member of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce and the Hamden Economic Development Corporation.

Newtown Savings Bank commands more than $1 billion in assets, and has 14 branches in Newtown, Bethel, Brookfield, Danbury, Monroe, Shelton, Southbury, Trumbull, and Woodbury, along with its new Regional Lending Center.
