Newtown High School's field hockey team has three regular-season games remaining, beginning with a Friday, October 21 visit to New Milford, beginning at 5:30 pm.

The Nighthawks handed visiting Immaculate of Danbury only its second loss of the season with a 1-0 win at Blue & Gold Stadium on October 15. Meaghan Lynn had the goal.

The Nighthawk win was sandwiched by a pair of losses - a 3-1 defeat to Ridgefield at Treadwell Park on October 13 and a 1-0 setback at Watertown on October 18 - leaving the Hawks with a record of 7-6 heading into the final three games of the season. In the Ridgefield game, Alison Kelleher scored a goal assisted by Emily Dirga.

After visiting New Milford, the Nighthawks travel to Trumbull for a Monday, October 24 nonconference matchup with the Eagles beginning at 7 pm, and close out the regular slate by playing a rematch with Watertown, at Blue & Gold, on Wednesday, October 26, beginning at 7 pm. The postseason begins with the South-West Conference playoffs later next week.
