Navigating Social Media Safely — A one-class course on Monday, March 11, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, $39. Learn how to use Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Snapchat safely while protecting privacy. While Facebook and Pinterest can be accessed via a computer, Instagram is best accessed via a tablet and cellphone. Snapchat is a texting service best utilized on a cellphone.

Resume Writing 101 — A one-class course on Monday, March 11, 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, $30. This one-hour course outlines exactly what goes into a top-notch resume to impress an employer. Students will be guided through the writing process and have the opportunity to create a draft of their resume; no discounts apply.

Start To Finish, A Beginner’s Guide To Seeds — A one-class course on Monday, March 11, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, $39. For those interested in planting their own garden using seeds or those interested in saving seeds for next year, the class will share an overview, from flowers to vegetables, on using seeds from start to finish. Learn about the various seed types available, how to “read” seed packets, different methods and containers available, starting seeds indoors, and how to save various seeds for the next year. It’s “seed 101” taught by a master gardener and organic lifestyle columnist; this class will help take the guesswork out of seed starting.

Interval Training — A six-class course starting Tuesday, March 12, 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm, $69. For those short on time and looking to make the most out of their workout, this course will offer a fun, quick, efficient, and effective workout. The course will offer a warm-up and then alternate cardiovascular exercises with toning exercises for arms, legs, and abs and then finish with stretching. This type of workout has been shown to burn the most fat, as the body readjusts to the varying exercises. All levels are welcome, as students can go at their own pace. High intensity and low intensity options will be demonstrated. Students should wear comfortable clothing and sneakers and bring handheld weights (3-5 pounds), a yoga or exercise mat, and water

The Basics Of Estate Planning And Understanding Navigating “All” The Relevant Documents — A one-class course on Wednesday, March 13, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, $29. An estate plan is essential in today’s society and the “greatest gift” that you can give family members and loved ones. Everyone needs to think about estate planning and the related legal, medical, and financial information. Consider the confusion having an organized and documented estate plan will eliminate for family members/loved ones. Today, an estate plan and related asset profile and documents are becoming essential life-planning tools. This course will take students through a comprehensive plan and the steps that need to be taken in developing a plan and the related documents.

Introduction To Meditation And Mindfulness Workshop — A one-hour class on Tuesday, March 12, 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, $29. This one-day workshop is designed to teach the basics of meditation and mindfulness. The presentation will increase awareness of the proven benefits of meditation and mindfulness and provide tools to build a strong foundation to meditation practice.

Basic Watercolor Techniques — A six-class course starting March 12, 6 to 9 pm, $139. This course will include the basic techniques for using watercolor as an expressive and versatile way to paint. Basic drawing/illustration techniques for artists will be covered. The class will include more advanced techniques for students who already know some of the basics. Students will be required to purchase supplies. A supplies list will be provided.

Cartooning — A six-class course starting Tuesday, March 12, 6 pm to 7:30 pm, $99. Various styles of cartooning are welcome in this exciting course. Emphasis will be placed on the development of original characters and the universes they inhabit. The fundamentals of general art techniques, character development, and storytelling with emphasis on narrative art techniques, penciling, inking, lettering, and coloring (both traditionally and digitally) are the foundations of this class. It is recommended that participants have a sketchbook to work in regularly outside of class.

Handcrafted Greeting Cards — A three-class course starting Wednesday, March 13, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, $69. Send sentiments from the heart with a handcrafted card. Learn assorted paper crafting techniques and practice them during this fun and easy card-making class. Each participant will have the opportunity to test and use different cutting tools, coloring agents, and get familiar with common card and envelope sizes. All skill levels welcome. We will make a minimum of four cards per night plus a sweet treat packaged to perfection. A materials fee of $30 is payable to the instructor on the first night of class.

Sewing Machine Fundamentals — A one-class course on Wednesday, March 13, 6 pm to 8 pm, $49. Learn how to use a sewing machine. The class will cover what each part does and how to set up the sewing machine and start sewing. Learn how to thread it, how to wind a bobbin, and how to adjust the settings. Students will become comfortable with their sewing machine and discover how to use its best features and attachments. Students should bring their sewing machine with manual, accessories, needles, and bobbins to class. The instructor will provide general sewing supplies (thread, pins, scrap fabric) for practice. The course is limited to six students.

Zumba Fitness — A seven-class course starting Wednesday, March 13, 6:45 pm to 7:30 pm, $69. Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training, alternating fast and slow rhythms, and resistance training.

Salsa Dancing — A six-class course starting Wednesday, March 13, 7:45 pm to 8:35 pm, $79. This salsa class will prepare students to look great on the dance floor alone or with a partner. No partner necessary. Great cardio and a fun way to get in shape. Learn and practice basic rhythm, patterns, and figures with dance technique. Students should wear sneakers or flat shoes and comfortable clothing.

Country Western Line Dancing — A six-class course starting Wednesday, March 13, 7:35 pm to 8:35 pm, $79. Great cardio exercise. For those that took this series last time and missed a few classes, the class will repeat a few dances but will have additional new dances to learn. The class will also talk about country dance technique and dance floor etiquette. Comfortable clothing and flat dance shoes recommended.

Yoga With Karen — A five-class course starting Wednesday, March 13, 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, $100. Unwind from a stress-filled day with a relaxing evening of yoga. Transform from tense and tight to mellow and limber. This yoga practice is designed to lengthen and stretch body, breath, and brain. Karen is a master yoga teacher, yoga therapist, and yoga teacher trainer; she will teach students how to create an authentic personal practice. Students should wear sweatpants and bring an exercise/yoga mat. A yoga strap and yoga blocks are options to bring.

Life Drawing — A six-class course starting Wednesday, March 13, 6 pm to 7:30 pm, $99. Working from a costumed model, our life drawing sessions are structured traditionally with a series of gestural warm-ups, followed by 20-minute poses and concluding with one long pose. Beginners are encouraged to attend, and instruction will be provided; advanced artists may work in any media they chose. Basic drawing materials (pencils, paper, charcoal) will be provided. Life drawing is ideal for beginners, art students developing portfolios, and advanced artists looking to stay sharp. A $25 models fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.
