Arthur J. Outhouse

Arthur J. Outhouse, 77, a lifelong resident of Croton Falls, N.Y., died April 29 on Hilton Head Island, S.C. He was born October 5, 1936, in Mount Kisco, N.Y., to Beatrice (Purdy) and S. Ralph Outhouse.

Besides his wife, Cora “Corky” (Adams) Outhouse, of 50 years, his two daughters, Susan Lorraine Duval, and her husband Luke, of Newtown and Diana Lynn McDermott, and her husband William, of Patterson, N.Y.; and four grandchildren survive Mr Outhouse. A brother, Ralph Outhouse, predeceased him.

Mr Outhouse served as a sergeant in the US Army, stationed in Korea.

He was a lineman for the New York Telephone Company for 33 years. Past chief and life member of the Croton Falls Fire Department, Mr Outhouse was chief when the fire department received the VAMP award.

He was proud of his family and enjoyed being surrounded by their love. They were the center of his life.

A graveside service took place May 6, at Ivandell Cemetery in Somers, N.Y.
