Newtown Recovery Project Slates Parent Forums At Sandy Hook, Middle Gate Schools

The Newtown Public Schools Recovery Project has slated its next parent forums, which will take place at Sandy Hook Elementary School and Middle Gate Elementary School.

The Sandy Hook School Parent Forums, “Helping Manage Challenging Behaviors and Discussions with Your Child” and “Informational Session for Sandy Hook Parents with Connecticut Office of Victim Services,” are set for Monday, February 24.

“Helping Manage Challenging Behaviors and Discussions with Your Child” forum will run from 2 to 3 pm and will be facilitated by Dave Cribbins, LCSW, of Clifford Beers. It will be held in the school’s lecture hall.

 “Informational Session for Sandy Hook Parents with Connecticut Office of Victim Services” will run from 6 to 7 pm and will also be held in the school’s lecture hall.

The Middle Gate Parent Forum, “Effective Problem-Solving Skills,” will be offered in two sessions on Tuesday, February 25, and will be facilitated by Eileen Donnelly Phillips, LCSW, of Wellmore Behavioral Health.

The first session will run from 9:15 until 10 am, and the second will run from 6 to 7 pm. Both will be in the school's library media center.
