SHELTON — The Shelton High School Class of 1981 invites members of the Newtown community to attend the second annual fundraiser event in memory of Jesse McCord Lewis, son of fellow graduate Neil Heslin and Scarlett Lewis, who was lost on 12/14.
The event will be held at The Stone Barn, 175 Shelton Road (Route 110) in Monroe, on Saturday, October 25, from 7 to 11 pm.
All proceeds will benefit The Jesse Lewis Memorial Scholarship, being awarded annually to a graduating senior at Shelton High School. The first scholarship was awarded in June to Carly Seamon, who is attending Duke University this fall.
The event will include appetizers, buffet dinner, dessert, and cash bar, as well as auction items and prizes.
Entertainment will be provided by Lost Rebel.
Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased in advance by check, payable to the Stone Barn and mailed to Cindy Lesher Fox, 8 Huntington Street, Box 142, Shelton CT 06484.
Tickets can also be purchased at the door via cash, check, or credit card.
Anyone interested in a round of golf before the event is invited to call the golf pro at Whitney Farms at 203-268-0707 to reserve tee time and note that it is for the Jesse Lewis fundraiser.
The cost for 18 holes, including cart, is $60, or $35 for nine holes.
Donations to the scholarship fund may also be made by check payable to the Valley Community Foundation, 253a Elizabeth Street, Derby CT 06418 — include Jesse McCord Lewis Scholarship Fund in the memo line.
