Registration Open For Newtown Ecumenical Vacation Church School

Newtown Ecumenical Vacation Church School (EVCS) 2013 at Trinity Episcopal Church invites all children to the Everywhere Fun Fair: Where God’s World Comes Together.

Newtown EVCS is a vacation bible school sponsored by four Newtown churches: Newtown United Methodist, Newtown Congregational, St Rose of Lima, and Trinity Episcopal. This year’s EVCS will be hosted by Trinity, at 36 Main Street.

An interactive and energizing Bible-based program that gives children a chance to discover God’s welcoming love, this year’s event will run from Monday, August 5, and continue mornings through Friday, August 9. Sessions will run each day from 9 am until noon.

The week will include theme centers of an international street fair including crafts, science, bible stories, skits, movie clips, recreation, and more.

Newtown EVCS is open to children who will be 4 years old by December 31 of this year, through those completing fifth grade in June. Cost is $30 for one child, $25 for a second child, with an $80 maximum per family.

Online registration is available at 2013.cokesburyvbs.com/newtownevcs2013. PayPay and credit cards can be used for online payment. Printed registration forms are also available at each of the participating churches.

This vacation bible school is completely volunteer driven and will only be a success with everyone’s help. The event is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with Christian peers in town to provide a week of fun, learning and fellowship for children.

Those who would like to volunteer to are asked to contact Lynn Remson or Sue Vogelman at childrensminister@trinitynewtownct.org or 203-426-9070 x16. Youth volunteers are welcome. Visit the website for details, including how to register.
