Newtown High School’s boys’ golf team finished tied with Southington for fourth place in the Division I state championship match, held at Watertown’s Crestbrook Park on June 9. The Nighthawks and Southington both shot a 316. Glastonbury won the match with a 303, Greenwich was second with a 307, and Ridgefield placed third with a 310.
Newtown’s Brian LeBlanc shot a 73, tied for the sixth best score. Josh Houle shot a 78, which earned him a tie for 17th place. Colin Patrick fired an 82, Graham Hubbert had an 83, and Vivek Tedla shot an 88.
