After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, William Bruno, 43, of 1 Borough Lane turned himself over to police at the police station about 1 pm on February 26 and was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and with risk of injury to a minor through illegal sexual contact, police said.
Police said they held Bruno on $100,000 bail for arraignment on February 27 at Danbury Superior Court.
Police said that the charges stem from their investigation into a complaint about an incident that occurred last June. Police did not provide details about the incident.
At his arraignment, Bruno pleaded not guilty to both charges. He was released on $100,000 bail and is scheduled to return to court on March 6.
On January 12, police arrested Bruno on another warrant charging him with seven sex offenses for allegedly having had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl.
Those charges include second-degree sexual assault, first-degree possession of child pornography, and five counts of risk of injury to a minor, including alleged instances of illegal sexual contact.
Bruno has not yet pleaded to any of those seven charges.. He is free on $150,000 bail on that case which is also scheduled for court again on March 6.
