Community Concert By Mile High Orchestra, Saturday At NHS

Denver & The Mile High Orchestra, a horn-driven band based out of Nashville, Tenn., will be in Newtown for a concert at Newtown High School on Saturday, April 13.

DMHO was formed by a group of friends at Belmont University in 1999. They have traveled across the world, playing at churches, conferences, and festivals. They performed at the Summer Olympics in Athens and the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. They will be heading to Newtown following an engagement at Carnegie Hall.

Saturday’s concert, focusing on fun, family and faith, is being sponsored by Faith at Newtown, Newtown Bible Church and Southbury Baptist Church.

A portion of the concert will be a special treat for kids, featuring songs from their award-winning children’s CD Groovy.

The concert will begin at 6:30 pm, and admission is free.
