Choral Society’s Spring Concert Will Offer Music To Reflect The Joy Of Peace, Food, Travel And More

“The Joy of…,” a concert celebrating what we all love in life, will be presented by Newtown Choral Society at 7:30 pm on Saturday, April 27, at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street.

Under the direction of Mary Andreotta, and accompanied by Susan Anthony-Klein, the choir will be singing music from Three Dog’s Night “Joy to the World,” to John Denver’s “All this Joy.”

The Fantastic’s “Plant a Radish” will express the joy of gardening and parenthood and the choir will also present “Begin the Beguine,” to reflect the joy of dancing while “Hot Chocolate” will represent, well, the joy of chocolate. Music to reflect the joy of peace, food, and travel will be presented with the concert ending with “Home is a Special Kind of Feeling,” from Wind in the Willows.

The choir will also be welcoming back Todd Gorski, a former accompanist, who will be playing with the choir while Ms. Anthony-Klein, the choir’s regular accompanist, accompanies the choir on clarinet.

Tickets are $10, with $8 for seniors and children under 12 and will be available at the door.  For more information, call 203-426-3769.
