Leslie H. Bieber, 71, of Newtown, died August 7 in St Mary's Hospital Waterbury, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Bridgeport on April 28, 1945, daughter of the late Louise (Duncan) and Leon  Kistner, was raised in Stratford, and lived in Bridgeport and Shelton most of her life.adzimafh.com.

Mrs Bieber was an accountant with Basement Systems, retiring six months ago, after many years of employment. She was a 28-year member of the Women of the Moose. She was past deputy grand regent and current chapter analyst coordinator for the State of Connecticut and was also a member of the Derby Elks Lodge.

She was the beloved mother and mother-in-law of Steven and Agnes Janesky of Sharon Springs, N.Y., Larry and Wendy Janesky of Middlebury, Richard and Adriana Janesky of Bethany, and Charlene Bieber of Seymour. She was the longtime companion and best friend of Richard Frye of Newtown; the sister of Timothy Kistner of Milwaukee, Wis., Gary Kistner of Texas, Margaret Kistner of Lantana, Fla., and the late Joseph Kistner. She was the cherished grandmother of Zachary, Tanner, Chloe, Autumn, Amber, and Raphael, and also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Friends may greet her family Tuesday, August 9, from 4 to 8 pm, at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby.

On Wednesday, August 10, friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 10 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Shelton.
