Joan M. Graham

Joan M. Graham of Newtown died peacefully, November 14, at her home. Mrs Graham was the wife of the late Duncan A. Graham. She was born in London, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Lily (Prior) and Colvin A. MacRae.

Joan was a graduate of St Joseph’s School of Nursing, London, Ontario.

A resident of Newtown since 1971, Mrs Graham was a communicant of St Rose of Lima Church and was a member of several community organizations, including Spay and Neuter Association, Newtown Garden Club, Newtown Bridle Lanes, Connecticut Farm Bureau, Fairfield County Hounds, Fairfield County Beagles, and the Dodgingtown Ladies’ Auxiliary. She was a longtime volunteer in the gift shop at Danbury Hospital and was a frequent volunteer at Red Cross blood drives.

Her children, Christina Graham, Dr Duncan Graham, Robin Graham, and Christopher Graham, survive Mrs Graham.

Her family wishes to thank Masonic Hospice and Homecare for the excellent care given to Mrs Graham, and to all of her many wonderful friends and neighbors for their support during her illness.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated November 19. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London, Ontario, will be at the convenience of the family.
