Local Channel CTV-192 is inviting the public to visit the TV Production Studio at 11 Commerce Road for its annual open house — a day of tours and tasty snacks — culminating in an Improvisational Comedy Workshop.

The CTV studios are available to community members who would like to learn TV production, which is the opportunity to perform in front of and behind the camera.

On Tuesday, December 11, take a walk through the studio, see how easy TV production is, and then consider joining the improv comedy workshop. Improv is a fun and often hilarious group activity — no experience necessary — there are no rules and everything is made up.

Doors will open at 10 am, and tours and demonstrations will go on all day.

The improv comedy workshop will begin at 3.

The free opportunity is open to anyone. CTV-192 has been providing custom and advanced free training classes in video production for more than 20 years. Participants can gain job skills while enhancing a sense of community by sharing local events. Programs on music, art, politics, news, weather, and more can all be found on CTV-192 and are being produced by members of the local community every day.

By providing training to all ages with no previous experience, CTV makes local TV a hobby accessible to anyone.

Residents of the Charter service area including the surrounding towns are welcome to discover how they may participate in this and other free training opportunities. Community television production facilities are available to community members who qualify.

Charter Communications’ Spectrum channel CTV-192 can be seen in Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Kent, Monroe, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Roxbury, Sherman, Southbury, Trumbull, Washington, and Woodbury, and on Frontier channel 6088.

For more information on this opportunity, contact CTV-192 at 203-304-4050.
