Frank W. Piazza

Frank W. Piazza, 90, a resident of Sandy Hook since 1971 and the beloved husband of Margaret (Stone) Piazza, died April 19 in Danbury Hospital, after a long illness. He was born in New York City, January 18, 1926, a son of the late Mary (Perricone) and Enrico Piazza.

Mr Piazza was a tool grinder for DuPont Sorvall for many years until his retirement.

Some of his hobbies were, as a young man, model planes, trains, and roller-skating. He was also known as a great dancer. Mr Piazza was a talented woodworker and made candlesticks on his wood lathe.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Laura of Newtown and Maria of Sandy Hook; his son Michael, and his wife Kelsey, of Mamaroneck, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Kelly, Chad, Grace, and Anthony. His son Anthony predeceased him.

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown, Friday, April 29, at 1 pm. Interment will follow in St Rose Cemetery, Sandy Hook. There are no calling hours.
