WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Newtown Foundation, together with St Mark's Episcopal Church, Faiths United to Prevent Gun Violence, States United to Prevent Gun Violence, Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, Organizing for Action, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, and Everytown Survivor Network, are hosting the 4th Annual National Vigil for All Victims of Gun Violence at St Mark's Episcopal Church on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, from 7 to 8:30 pm, on the fourth anniversary date of the Sandy Hook tragedy: Wednesday, December 14.

Hundreds of families of victims and survivors of gun violence and advocates from Sandy Hook, Aurora, Charleston, Virginia Tech, Chicago, Oakland, Hartford and elsewhere will unite to renew a pledge to #HonorWithAction to #EndGunViolence. This is one of hundreds of vigils planned nationwide.

Newtown Action Alliance has hand-delivered an invitation to the National Vigil to every member of Congress on Capitol Hill and requests people contact their representatives at 202-224-3121 to ask them to attend the vigil and commit to ending gun violence in our nation.

Newtown Action Alliance and The Newtown Foundation rose out of a desire to transform the tragedy of 12/14 into meaningful action by honoring all lives lost to gun violence and spreading acts of kindness and love.
