Entrepreneur, Small Business Open House Planned At Library

Organizers of the “It’s Not Just Business As Usual” business support program at the C.H. Booth Library are holding a special small business open house on Wednesday, January 27, from 8 to 9 am. The event will take place in the lower meeting room of the library, 25 Main Street.

Attendees will learn about new initiatives and resources at the library to serve small businesses, home-based workers, and entrepreneurs in Newtown, including:

*Monthly Brown Bag Business Hour of networking and educational opportunities;

*Business meeting space featuring Skype and other virtual communication tools;

*The Virtual Small Business Development Center;

*Many print and online business resources; and

*The product development potential of the library’s 3D printer and maker space area.

Coffee and light refreshments will be provided by Dere Street. 

The event is being sponsored in partnership with the Newtown Economic Development Commission, the Women’s Business Development Council, and the Connecticut Small Business Development Council.
