DACS Program On Microsoft Office 2010

DANBURY — At its Tuesday, August 3 meeting, Danbury Area Computer Society (DACS) will host a presentation by Jay Ferron on Microsoft Office 2010

Microsoft’s Office has been the ubiquitous killer app for many years. Office 2010 is also Microsoft’s best foray into the cloud, integrating Office with cloud storage and cloud-based Office apps means you never have to be far from your documents and neither do your coworkers when you have to collaborate. While Office is a pay-for application, Microsoft’s Sky Drive and online Office apps are free to the user.

Jay Ferron is a member of the Board of Directors of Association of Personal Computer User Groups (APCUG). He is CIO for Interactive Security Training, LLC, and works on various projects that include security and training and Windows and Unix network infrastructures. His customers include Microsoft, banks, government agencies, health agencies and providers.

DACS general meetings are free and open to the public.

Meetings are held at the Danbury Hospital auditorium. Directions and more information is available at www.DACS.org.

Activities start at 6:30 pm with registration and casual networking, the meeting begins at 7 with Ask DACS, an open Q&A session, followed by the main presentation at 8.
