'Cocktails And Curtain Calls,' April 23-30
Cocktails and Curtain Calls is a new show being offered on Charter Communications Local Access station (channel 192).
Co-hosts Elizabeth Young and Matt Austin talk about all things theater, focusing on theater in the community.
The next episode, scheduled for Saturday, April 23, at 1 pm, will feature
Anthony DePoto, a professor at Western Connecticut State University. He teaches writing as well as writing himself and runs InnerAct, a theater group which works in a number of public schools to introduce students to theater.
The next episode of
Cocktails and Curtain Calls will air at 7 pm on Wednesday, April 27, and also at 1 pm on Saturday, April 30. The guests for that episode will be from Two Planks Theater Company in Monroe. Members of the cast and/or crew will discuss their upcoming production of The Foreigner.
Elizabeth Young is an actor and writer who has performed in many local theaters. She is also the current theater reviewer for
The Newtown Bee.
Matt Austin is a director and actor who works extensively in local theater. Among others projects, he is the creator of the improv group The 17 Debacles, based at The Brookfield Theater for the Arts.
