Christine Lynn Anderson, 63, a 27-year resident of Newtown and cherished wife of Thomas Anderson, unexpectedly died at her home in Easley, S.C., on October 21. She was born December 12, 1952, in Stratford, and was beloved daughter of Rita Walsh and the late Harry Walsh of Sandy Hook.

She was a loving wife, mother to two children, and co-owner of a small business. Her loved ones say she will be deeply missed.

In addition to her husband of 42 years, Thomas Stephen Anderson, and her mother, Rita Walsh of Woodbridge, she will be sadly missed by her son Stephen Anderson and Deejae Lane of Pickens, S.C.; daughter Barbra Anderson-Richardson and her husband, Thomas, of Piedmont, S.C.; sister Colleen Wallace and brother-in-law, Kevin Wallace, of Woodbridge; brother Jeffrey Walsh of Danbury; grandson Nash Anderson of Pickens; a niece; several cousins; and her beloved pets who survive her.

Ms Anderson was co-owner of a small business with her husband called T&C Excavation, which they operated in Newtown for 35 years before retiring in 2004 and moving to Easley.

She was a voracious reader, lifelong animal lover, enjoyed writing short stories, and watching movies. Since her 20s, she was an avid collector of and expert in antiques. She enjoyed decorating, art, and scrapbooking. She was a prolific arts and crafts artist who made everything from scrapbooks and cards to dolls and jewelry. She was a compassionate and deeply caring person, always present for those who needed her.

In keeping with her wishes, the family will not have a memorial service. Her ashes will be laid to rest at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery on Inway Drive in Anderson, S.C.
