Carole Tani Lariviere

Carole Tani Lariviere, 74, of Sandy Hook died May 9, with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Gaetan Lariviere. Born in Waterbury, June 28, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Staudinger) and Paul Tani.

Mr Lariviere was a lifetime resident of Sandy Hook. She owned Imperial Construction with her husband for 34 years before retiring in 2009.

She was an avid cook, angler, and gardener. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her loving husband of 48 years, her daughters Erica Lawrence, and her husband Mark, and Tina Capellini, and her husband Chris, all of Southbury; and grandchildren Bryan Lawrence, Anna Lawrence, Emilia Capellini, and Julia Capellini survive Mrs Lariviere.

Family and friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Friday, May 13, from 5 to 8 pm. Funeral services will take place Saturday, May 14, at 9:30 am, in St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St Rose Cemetery, Sandy Hook.
