Owner: Owner/physical therapist Karin LaBanca and physical therapist Ashley Witson offer one-on-one sessions to evaluate, educate, and treat patients to improve health and function.

How long have you been in business? After originally opening in July 2011 in Danbury, fisio briefly moved to 172 Mt Pleasant Road in December 2013. Now located at 141 Mt Pleasant Road, fisio celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, January 7. Ms LaBanca and her husband, Frank, bought the property last June and have been customizing the building with the help of Ken Burns Electric and Creative Construction By Jac Malin, Inc of Sandy Hook.

What is the focus / product / service you or your business offers? fisio Physical Therapy & Wellness, LLC, is a private practice that helps people with pain from musculoskeletal and neurological injuries. The new location comes with more space and has allowed Ms LaBanca to extend fisio into a multifaceted wellness center for her clients. She is able to utilize extra rooms in her building to collaborate with a variety of people and organizations that focus on health and wellness. This includes registered dietitian Joanne Ihlefeld, who will be providing nutritional counseling; Newtown resident Chris Smith, who will be teaching yoga and meditation on Saturdays; speech-language pathologist Mia Ramey of Gift of Gab, LLC, who runs her speech therapy practice for kids and adults; and licensed massage therapist Katie Reed, who will have a room within the new location.

What would you most like Bee readers to know about the business? fisio does not require a physician referral and is in-network with Aetna, Anthem, Connecticare, United Healthcare, and several other commercial plans. It is also in-network with Medicare. Also, along with fisio Physical Therapy & Wellness's individual sessions, clients can also benefit from the onsite wellness store. Physical therapy products like lumbar rolls, deck rolls, and cold packs are sold, as well as Superfeet and Quadrastep Orthotics from Stride Orthotics in Middlebury.

Hours: fisio Physical Therapy & Wellness is currently open Monday and Thursday 10 am to 8 pm, Tuesday 10 am to 4 pm, Wednesday and Friday 7:30 to 5:00 pm, and closed Saturday and Sunday. New hours coming next month.

Budget should be cut by 20%, spending $2.65 million dollars per every week forever is absolutely unsustainable ! Do everything possible to Vote No on another nonsensical attempt to increase the cost of living ! Taxpayers are honestly just renting their houses from the town, it costs me $40 every night to sleep in my own bed ! Soon it will be cheaper living in a hotel than owning a property in Newtown !

Finance Board Moves $1 Million From Education Budget

I went and complaint to Rosenthall's father that the budget was too high at $80M several years ago, now we are at almost $140M . $2.65 million per week that is ! Fairfield hills should have long been developed by investors money and bring revenue to the town. WE ARE DRIVING OURSELVES OUT OF NEWTOWN by doing this and constantly raising the cost of living. It makes zero sense, any extra budget money gets burned on stupid stuff just so they can ask for more next year. Put an END TO THIS STUPIDITY and CUT THE BUDGET 20%. Everyone will be just fine ! Kids won't get any smarter anyway. That's an honest reality !

Why You Should Not Vote For The BOE Budget

Any common sensical person can do this job at under 100k salary. Way overhyped and overpaid at over $200k annual salary. We as voters have to put an end to this. Not to mention an assistant comes along with this job paid at 190k! What is wrong with you voters?

Difficult To Vote For BOE Budget Without Specifics

The entire budget needs to be cut not raised. The proposed budget now would sit that we spend $2.65 million dollars every week. For population of less than 30k people it is absolutely absurd ! You cannot keep driving older folks out of town just to create a revolving door of parents who come here, educate their kids and run away ! There is no need to be paying 190K annual salary to an ASSISTANT to superintendent, not in the best interest of tax payers ! The voting turnout at 9% is ridiculous ! Lobby lawmakers to change the voting by mail, so everyone gets a ballot in the mail and at least 51% of residents vote to approve, otherwise the budget should not be approved if you don't have the majority ! Most folks don't even know when the vote is ! They have taxes bundled with mortgage and don't even know ! We are raising cost of living for everyone and it is absolutely not necessary.
