ASPECTUCK 8, BOB TENDLER REAL ESTATE 7: Down 8-1 after five innings, Bob Tendler rallied back on Pete Ogger’s bases-clearing double and clutch hits by Greg Kraushaar, Eric Rodriquez and Steve Moulthrop, but the rally fell short. Seth Hull and Oggeri pitched well over the final four innings, allowing just three hits.

BOB TENDLER REAL ESTATE 11, DANBURY 7: Seth Hull (2B, 3B) and Pete Oggeri (2B, 3 RBI) banged out three hits apiece as Bob Tender defeated Danbury. Greg Kraushaar had a pair of hits and two RBI while Eric Rodriquez, Steve Moulthrop and Jeff Fulton all drove in runs. Rodriquez and Colin Cienewa turned double plays at second base and Moulthrop hauled in two long outfield drives.

AMERICAN LEAGUE

NEWTOWN CAR WASH 13, MITCHELL ARCHITECTURAL GROUP 4: Michael Murphy, Jared Modzelewski and Colin O’Connor powered the Newtown Car Wash to the win. Ryan Boucher, Tucker LaPak and Scudder Baggett were solid in the field. For Mitchell, Brian Conroy and Frances Oggeri led the offense as Tommy Santella and Chris Elias pitched well. Drew Adamek and Scott Suhoza were strong in the field.

NICK’S RESTAURANT 8, NEWTOWN CAR WASH 5: Kevin Jurasek had a pair of hits and two RBI to pace Nick’s Restaurant to the win. Tony Galluci had a hit and two RBI and Kurtis Liska had one hit and one RBI. Tyler Tarantino and Cody Shpunt both played well in the field. For Car Wash, Tucker LaPak, Brian Shimko and Michael Murphy had two hits apiece. Colin O’Connor, Aron Fay and Ryan Boucher all had good games.

NEWTOWN CAR WASH 8, CLEARHART CONSTRUCTION 2: Ryan Boucher and Tucker LaPak hit the ball well while Aron Fay, Brian Shimko and Jared Modzelewski pitched a solid game to lead the Car Wash to the win. Jeff Davis and Scudder Baggett anchored the defense. For Clearhart, Ethan Canfield and Mike Woessner  hit the ball hard as Brendan Martin and Stephen Marks combined on the mound. Chuck Brooks, Brian Stickles and Mike Chapin played well in the field.

NICK’S RESTAURANT 5, CHARTWELLS 0: Ryan McGrath banged out three hits and scored two runs to lead Nick’s Restaurant to the win. Tyler Tarantino and Chris Tomasek hit the ball well while Tony Gallucci, Joe DeVellis and Kevin Cahalane combined on a one-hitter. Cody Shpunt made a sparkling defensive play. For Chartwells, Sean Ryan, Dan Murdoch and Greg Larnerd played well.

CHARTWELLS 7, MITCHELL ARCHITECTURAL 1: Kevin Saage, Jesse Furphy and Danny Murdoch pitched a solid game while Rob Simone and Greg Larnerd sparked the offense to lead Chartwells to the win. Bobby Lapple and Blake Barreto played well in the field. For Mitchell, Scott Suhoza pitched a solid game while Scott Shannon and Jason Smith hit the ball hard. Tommy Santella played well in the field.

NATIONAL LEAGUE

GRUCE TILE 17, BISCOE EXCAVATING 14: Allen Hubbard belted a home run and Greg Gruce, Mike Frattaroli, Matt Coletti and Zack Seaman helped lead the Gruce Title offensive attack in the win. Max Hoagland and Jon Kemph powered Biscoe at the plate while Sean Myslewski pitched well.

GRUCE TITLE 12, CLASSIC DESIGN 2: Greg Gruce and Mike Frattaroli combined on the mound for a masterful pitching performance, leading Gruce to the victory. At the plate, Carlos Fuentes knocked in three runs and Stephan Poulin knocked in two. Joel Minalgo and Graham Moeller also played well. For Classic, Pat Daly (double and triple) and Adam Nanavaty played well.

GRUCE TITLE 16, BISCOE EXCAVATING 15: Facing a 9-2 deficit, Gruce rallied back with a bases-loaded double by Zack Seaman and the clutch hitting of Stephan Poulin and Mike Frattaroli (game-winning hit). Joel Minalgo had some alert baserunning to help the cause. Greg Gruce made a sparkling defensive play at first. For Biscoe, Jacob Rebb powered the offense while Jimmy O’Brien played well in the field and Sean Myslewski pitched well.

DRUG CENTER 19, JURMAN METRICS 10: Kevin Davies and Alex Dahlmeyer doubled while Jeff Correa, Croy Carlin and Mike Shannon had two hits apiece to lead Drug Center to the win. Jeff Peterson, Zack Leighton and Anthony Klabonski sparked the defense. For Jurman, Erik Jurman had a bases-loaded triple and Chris Meier singled and doubled to lead the offense. Austin Heil and Timmy Cauley led the defense while Sam Paproski, Dan Fiscella and Ryan Wilson shared the mound duties.

WALKER INDUSTRIAL 29, AUTOMATED SECURITY SYSTEMS 7: Ryan Drummond and Danny Curtis banged out three hits apiece while Adam Feldman and Collin Babbage had two hits apiece to lead Walker Industrial. Billy Tierno, Dan Cassidy and Kevin Caruso played well in the field. For Automated, Nick Smith belted a home run and Andy Kirner had a pair of doubles to power the offense. Dan DeLaVega and Matt Saxonmeyer played well.

WELLFLEET FINANCIAL 9, BRAUTIGAM LAND SURVEYORS 6: Andil Ansari, Patrick Dunseith, Stephen Sapienza had two hits apiece to lead Wellfleet to the win. Tom Selleck recorded the win on the mound and Chris Reid pitched two strong innings. For Brautigam, Luke Dugger belted a home run and a single and pitched three innings of six-strikeout ball to lead the way. Dan Bunger was solid behind the plate.

AAA

NEWTOWN HARDWARE 10, J&J POOL 3: Kevin Bonacci slugged a grand slam homer and Kris Arndt banged out a pair of singles to lead Newtown Hardware. RJ and Rob O’Donnell played well in the field and Charlie Kerr pitched a solid game. For J&J, AJ Ritchie, Jake Wolf and Johnny Gouveia played well.

NEWTOWN BEE 13, NATALIA KERLER 0: Maxwell Muraskiewicz pitched four innings of shutout ball, striking out nine to lead the Bee to the win. Muraskiewicz also belted a pair of doubles while Joe Selezan and Brian Carroll helped power the offense. Mike Poeltl and Judd Baggett made solid defensive plays. For Natlia Kerler, Charlie Lobosco and Pete Wlasuk played well.

MINORS

TAUNTON PRESS 11, BOB TENDLER REAL ESTATE 4: Brian Kuruc and Robbie Phillips powered the offense and helped lead Taunton Press to the win. Evan Barreto and Adam Lanza were stellar in the field while Trevor Todd and Michael Coates had fine pitching performances. For Tendler, George Zaruba pitched well and led the offensive attack. Matt Iassogna and John Metcalf held the defense together.

TAUNTON PRESS 7, EDWARDS CONSTRUCTION 5: Trevor Todd and Zach Faurote fueled a 23-hit attack by each going 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Taunton Press. Osker Dean and Cameron Gehrman sparkled in the field as Tyler Davenport and Jeffrey DiNicola pitched well. For Edwards, Tim Dalton, Kyle Droniak, Tyler Edwards, Brian Cawley, Matt Hamilton and Anthony Grure all played well.

NEWTOWN HARDWARE 5, NEWTOWN BEE 1: Rob O’Donnell and Kevin Bonacci each banged out a single to lead Newtown Hardware. Mac Fuller and Charlie Kerr led the defense while Andrew Meisel pitched a beautiful game, striking out 14 batters. For the Bee, Brian Carroll doubled while Jeff and Joe Selezan were solid in the field, Kurt Nacewicz pitched three strong innings.

NEWTOWN POLICE UNION 8, BOB TENDLER REAL ESTATE 8: Shane Price, Kevin O’Connell, Jeremy Crouch and Ryan Ames played well for the Police Union while Adam Buccino (single and double), George Zaruba (double, triple, homer), Matt Iassogna and Dan O’Connor paced Tendler.

BOB TENDLER REAL ESTATE 8, A&D SPORTS 4: Andrew Lamarche had three hits and Josh Leighton banged out a triple to lead Bob Tendler to the win. Ben Miles played solid defense. For A&D, Jamey Tibbets, Dominic Tramatozzi, Leo Spinelli, and TJ Faeth had nice performances.

NEWTOWN LIMOUSINE 12, NATALIA KERLER 8: Jonathan Savarse and Keith Hoffman had two hits apiece and combined to drive in five runs and lead Newtown Limo to the win. David Kopyscinski and JR Shine tripled. Bret LeBlanc and David Bray both played well in the field. For Natalia Kerler, Jack Lis and Charlie Lobosco both drove in two runs while Mitchell Blomberg and Valemon Groot played well in the field.

HICKEY SEPTIC 12, WILLIAM PITT REAL ESTATE 8: Sean LaPak had a key hit in the fifth inning to spark an offensive rally. Ryan Polo and Thomas Anderau led the defense. For William Pitt, Chris Caulfield, Drew Robinson, Hunter Dolyak and Johnny Fracker hit the ball well.

DANBURY HEALTH 6, A&D SPORTS 0: Nick Nazer tripled and Tom Mascher, Matt Bobkowski, Joe Drotar and Dan Tibolla all had hits to lead Danbury Health to the win. Ralph Sergiovanni and Cole Depuy pitched well, combining for seven strikeouts. For A&D Sports, Nick Wilson singled and doubled while Matt Slattery and Daniel O’Connor had good games.

DANBURY HEALTH 8, TAUNTON PRESS 3: Ralph Sergiovanni and Cole Depuy each had three hits, including a home run, to lead Danbury Health to the win. Joey Knapik had a single while Nick Nazer and Jeffrey Spencer made fine catches to spark the defense. For Taunton, Alex Kron and Evan Barreto both hit the ball hard while Ben Collins and Michael Coates pitched well. Cameron Gehrman and Jeff DiNicola were strong on defense.

STONYBROOK 6, TRENDSETTERS INTERNATIONAL 4: Eric Sippin, RJ Roman and Brian Czel led the Stonybrook offense. Alex Nordstrom, Chris Giglio and Rachel Camejo had solid performances. For Trendsetters, Josh Engler had a pair of hits and Andrew Seymour smacked a hard double. Michael Shannon made two solid plays at third base and Kyle Vignone sparkled behind the plate.

HICKEY SEPTIC 17, LOCKWOOD 12: Ryan Polo, Alex Schaviano and Zach Baudisch led Hickey to the win. Andrew Oravecz had three hits and Thomas Santienello hit the ball well for Lockwood.

FLAGSHIP COMMUNICATIONS 11, AMARAL MOTORS 10: Theo Hartlett went 3-for-3 and scored three runs while Steven Zarifis and Conor Donnelly each went 2-for-2 to pace Flagship to the win. Daniel Tomascak, Michael Herring and Christian Gregoire anchored the defense. For Amaral, Thomas Cascia, Joseph Freitas and Jordan Ashby provided the offense while Ryan Schmidt, Mitch Udisky and Kyle Packer all had good defensive games.

MIDGETS

ASSOCIATED REFUSE versus TROY SECURITY: Tim Brown and Danny White had three hits apiece while Brandon Ziman and Mason West were strong in the field to lead Associated Refuse. Curtis Droniak, Richard Sandler, Cullen Merrifield and Daniel Gallagher all led Troy.

VILLA RESTAURANT versus PIZZA PALACE: Abigail Fagerholm, Connor Quinn, Bobby Hughes and Nick Gerbo played well for Villa while Ben Stoller, Michael Newman, Ryan Manion and Nicky Sajovic paced Pizza Palace.

MONA LISA RESTAURANT versus CONNECTICUT FAMILY CHIROPRACTIC: Matthew Vavrek had a grand slam homer while Michael Allwein, Colton Sposta and Chris Robinson played well for Mona Lisa. For CFC, Ryan Daignault, Jared Wray, Harrison Snellback and Matthew Bolinsky had solid performances.

NEWTOWN POOLS versus MASTERCARD: Austin Quinn, Gavin Scallon, Kennan Bennett and Kurt Liniger played well for Newtown Pools while Alex Lockhart, Caitlin Gibney, Josh Villa and Nick Fatse paced Mastercard.

ROOKIES

CARMINUCCIO’S PIZZA versus SUBWAY: Sherman Schwartz, Alex Pastorkovich, Joe VanVeen and James Quinn led Carminuccio’s while Christian Sayegh, Ricky Kerins, John Imbimbo and Griffen Paynter led Subway.

SUBWAY versus BLINDS GUYS: John Kerins and Jack Curty banged out four hits apiece as Kevin Morrissey and Riley Wurtz played well in the field to lead Subway. For Blinds Guys, Colin Coefer, Kyle Harreling, Taylor Demirjian and Jordan Ali all played well.

CARMINUCCIO’S PIZZA versus DANZIGER HOMES: Timothy Pearlam, Joseph VanVeen, Victory Wilson and Brandon Capaldo all played well for Carminuccio’s.

MY PLACE PIZZA versus SUBWAY: Johnny Kerins, Jack Curry, Riley Wurtz and Ryan O’Keefe led Subway.

BLINDS GUYS versus ICE CREAM SHOP: Matthew Sharpe, Thomas Stewart, Jake Solonons, and Dieter Gutbrod had good games for the Blinds Guys while Oliver Powers, Jack Kneisel, Chris Haylon and Corey Campbell anchored the Ice Cream Shops.

ICE CREAM SHOP versus TROY SECURITY: Brian Mendoca, Jason Marks, Michael Cascone and Daniel Snyder paced the Ice Cream Shop as Kevin Phillips, Cullen Merrifield, Teddy Perez and Curtis Droniak all played well for Troy.

DANZIGER HOMES versus B&K SEPTIC: Ryan Cassidy, Dominick Fedak, Jimmy Mooney and Luke Piazza led Danziger against B&K, which got good performances from Jake Tolson, Taylor Steimle, Will Fletcher and Timmy Young.

APEX GLASS versus DR HENRY GELLERT: Brendan Saage, David Lucia, Tim Wilder and Craig Soderhold led Apex while Marco Manes, Tyler Kraft, Greg Williamson and Connor Howell led Dr Gellert.

DR GELLERT versus B&K SEPTIC: Nicholas Dinelli, Sean Connolly, Jacob Enriquez and Connor Howell led Dr Gellert as Danny Fischer, Mark Agugliaro, Will Fletcher and Taylor Steimle powered B&K.
